Mizanvest (“Mizanvest,” “we,” “us”) provides software for creating, negotiating, e-signing, and administering Shariah-compliant Mudarabah (profit-sharing) agreements. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Mizanvest you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
Account information you provide — name, email address, and password (stored only as a salted hash). Deal information you enter — agreement terms, party details, cap-table and distribution records, comments, and signatures. Usage and device data — log data, IP address, and basic analytics needed to operate and secure the service. Verification and payment data — when payments are enabled, identity and bank details you submit are transmitted to our payment processor; we do not store full bank or card numbers.
How we use information
To provide and improve the service; to authenticate you and secure accounts; to send transactional notifications (invitations, signature requests, reminders, distribution notices); to facilitate payments between parties; and to comply with legal obligations.
How we share information
With the other parties on a deal you participate in (the agreement is shared by design). With service providers that operate the platform on our behalf — including our hosting provider and our payment processor (Stripe) — under contractual confidentiality. And where required by law or to protect rights and safety. We do not sell your personal information.
Payments
Payment processing is handled by Stripe. Where money moves, it settles directly between the parties to an agreement; Mizanvest does not hold, pool, or take custody of funds. Stripe’s handling of payment data is governed by Stripe’s own privacy policy.
Data retention & security
We retain information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations — executed agreements are kept as binding records. We use industry-standard safeguards (encryption in transit, hashed passwords, access controls), though no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Your choices & rights
You can access and update your account information from within the app, and request deletion of your account. Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, port, or delete personal data. Contact us to exercise these rights.
Cookies
We use a single, essential session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “last updated” date above.
